Hertz Takes the Pain Out of Car Hire

Anyone looking for cheap car hire on their Europe holidays will soon have the option of self-service kiosks.

Many travellers taking advantage of cheap flights to Europe want to hire a vehicle as well, in order to make the most of their time abroad. Most customers do not want to spend a lot of time and hassle at airport car hire desks.

This is why cheap car hire firm Hertz has decided upon a rather high-tech solution to the waiting problem. They have begun an initiative that will see self-service kiosks installed at a number of the leading airports on the Continent.

The kiosks will allow customers who have prepaid for their cheap car hire to access their vehicles simply by entering their details and pressing a few buttons. Holidaymakers will also be able to use the kiosk terminals to tweak their car hire options, adding extras like sat nav and even upgrading their choice of vehicle.

Hertz International president Michel Taride commented: "We offer customers a wide range of options currently unrivalled in the car rental industry to help them get on the road faster. With Worldwide Online Check-In, #1 Club Gold, and now Self Service Express Kiosks and a comprehensive iPhone reservations platform, Hertz continues to lead the industry in innovation for customers".

The iPhone reservations platform is an app that has already proven to be a great success in the USA, and it is due to be introduced across Europe in the next few months. The app allows Hertz customers to book cheap car hire on the move, while giving them access to information on special offers and recommended sights for the tourist driver.
