The iPhone 4S User- Worth the upgrade?

Following the release of the iPhone 4S in the on UK October 14th, the ground has now settled somewhat and we find out what the iPhone 4S has to offer.
It was music to iPhone 4 users ears that they could simply swap their SIM card over from the 4 to the 4S with no bother- after the change in case design for the iPhone 4 from the 3GS-leaving users trimming up their own Sims to fit! (yes, impatient people did do this!)

So, it may look the same this time, but what really has changed or are we just jumping in the queues for the next Apple product time and time again?

The camera has been upgraded to 8MP and some of the internal processors have been upgraded to the standard of the iPad, but come on it's the features that grab people these days isn't it?

Take Siri for instance, a voice-controlled personal assistant. We can say "Email John when I get to the office", "Remind me I'll need an umbrella tomorrow morning"- some might no longer need their mothers! A recent Forbes study showed that many Siri users had found that Google was now redundant on their phones due to the sheer brilliance of Siri. The Forbes study suggests that 27 out of 40 users had not done one single Google search since they had their iPhone 4S with Siri. Surely anything that has the ability to sit up there with the likes of Google is not just a gimmick?

One question a lot of upgraders would be asking was regarding the dreaded antenna issue- was this going to be a problem with the 4S as it was with the iPhone 4?

It was probably first on Apple's tick list when it came to the new model. The Antenna of the 4S has been changed and the iPhone 4S can switch between exterior antennas in real time, even in the middle of a call., hopefully putting an end to "Antenna gate"

The burning question is, it wasn't the iPhone 5 we were expecting so is it really worth the upgrade?

Reasons to upgrade:
Dual-core processor and 7x more powerful GPU

Siri natural language commands and dictation engine
8MP camera with improved low-light performance and capture speed
1080p video capture with stabilization
GSM/CDMA dual-mode device
Dual antenna design- hopefully putting an end to the calling cutting issues with the iPhone 4
64GB option
Power-efficient Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity
And for all Apple fans, you've got to have the latest thing haven't you? I mean it would be like being the only kid in school without the latest Nike Airs. (Are they still cool?) What do you think of the new iPhone 4S? Leave us a comment…..
