Start the new year with a resolve to be more conservation minded. For two weekends in January, guests to SeaWorld Orlando will discover weekends more wild as they come see Jack Hanna, Julie Scardina and renowned marine life artist Wyland.
During Wild Weekends, guest can participate in new conservation activities, meet new animals and animal experts, and learn all about the environment in a fun, interactive way.
Everyone’s favorite animal ambassadors, Jack Hanna and Julie Scardina, host amazing animal shows at Nautilus Theater where guests can get up close with a menagerie of animals. Across the park, children can get hands on with world-renowned artist, Wyland, help paint a giant deep-sea mosaic, and climb aboard the Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center. During event weekends, guests can also learn all about animal conservation strides being made by SeaWorld and the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute and get their photo taken with animals at the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Animal Adventures Tour Vehicle.
Jack Hanna – January 12-13
•SeaWorld welcomes one of its most popular special guests -- celebrity animal expert Jack Hanna. Recognized world over for his deep knowledge of and boundless enthusiasm for wild animals, “Jungle Jack” introduces guests to his feathered and furry friends in his own unique way. Hanna is most recognizable as host of the nationally-syndicated program “Jack Hanna’s Animal Adventures” and his animal antics are seen regularly on “Good Morning America” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.”
Julie Scardina – January 19-20
•Hosting shows with featuring dozens of animals with incredible stories of conservation, Animal Ambassador Julie Scardina takes over the second Wild Weekend with animal shows throughout both days. Julie Scardina is Animal Ambassador for SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Discovery Cove. Julie makes more than 100 media appearances a year, highlighting the parks' commitment to animal entertainment, education and conservation.
Wyland Mobile Learning Center and personal appearances – January 19-20
•Wyland is a marine life artist and conservation advocate best known for his Whaling Walls, mega-sized environmental-themed murals of marine life in over 70 cities around the world.
•The Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center is a bio-diesel powered, 1,000-square foot exhibit on wheels that shows people of all ages what they can do to help our watersheds – and the animals that live within them. Upon entering the center, visitors are tasked to solve mysterious disturbances in the health of our nation’s water habitats, with exhibits focusing on lake regions, river management, estuaries, and ocean runoff.
Available now, the Fun Card is the perfect way to experience Wild Weekends and the rest of SeaWorld’s special events line-up.
