They came from Martinez, CA, a city of 40,000 near San Francisco, to be married here in Stresa. Robert Schroder is the mayor of Martinez; the mayor of Stresa, Sindaco Canio di Milia married Schroder and Suzanne Hatch last week in a civil ceremony in his office. Robert and Suzanne are only one of the growing numbers of couples who are choosing Stresa as a destination for their wedding ceremonies. And why not? This way they are already in a perfect honeymoon location as well...
