Rental car companies making their customers happier

Customer satisfaction among those that use car rental companies has come back to levels experience before the economic crisis, a new survey has shown.

In the survey, that was put together by and was filled out by nearly 12,000 renters, it was discovered that everyone of the major car rental companies on the market posted higher customer satisfaction scores that they did last year. Out of them all, Enterprise ranks the highest again for an impressive seventh consecutive year with National Car Rental falling just behind it in second as Hertz finished third.

The near 12,000 renters that were asked had rented vehicles between September 2009 and the start of October this year and we asked to voice their opinions on topics such as costs and fees, ease of making reservations, and quality of the vehicle itself, shuttle bus transfers and pick-ups.

Speaking on the research, the vice president of J.D. Power, Mr Stuart Greif, commented that the survey his company had carried out shows that the car rental industry as a whole appears to be well back on its feet and has won back the customers that had to cut down on holidays and vehicle rental because of the economic crisis that began in 2008. During that time, many rental companies had to make cuts to the amount of vehicles they could offer, while also laying off staff and having to pass on repairs to mechanics other than the ones that they employed – factors that significantly drove down customer satisfaction levels.

  1. For many Americans, as well as a lot of other travelers around the world, a trip to New Zealand is the trip of a lifetime. New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's geographic isolation has made it a perfect setting to film Hollywood blockbusters that require exotic locations, and the variety of geography and climate, as well as the flora and fauna, make it fascinating for visitors of all types.
