Depart Nairobi in the morning at 0900hrs ascending into the Kikuyu highlands and dropping from the eastern escarpment of the Great Rift valley. Stop at one of the view points to take in the majesty of the great rift valley from the escarpment. The rift is one of the largest scars on earth that is evidence that geological forces once tried to split Africa in parts. Drive up to the scenic mau western escarpment through the green wheat fields of ntulele.
You will get into the masai mara in the famous loita plains and check into the tented camp for lunch. Later have an afternoon game drive in the reserve to hunt and shoot the lions and elephants.(of course with a camera). Enjoy dinner and overnight at the tented camp with a bonfire banter over the days exploits.
Day 2: Nairobi Weekend Break to Masai Mara on Jamhuri Holiday

Full day in the reserve trying to find the more elusive animals like the leopard and the rhino. Enjoy the views of undulating landscapes or the mara savannah with the hundreds of elephants and other animals. An elephant will graze too close to your vehicle that you can see its eyelashes and a pride of lions will hold you hostage as they lie beneath your vehicle for the shade away from the sun. The photo opportunities in the park are countless and you will get once in a lifetime shots.
Later visit the mara river to see the famous wildebeest river crossing in their annual migration from Tanzania when 1.5 Million of them and a quarter a million zebra cross the plains in search of green fresh grass fields. Visit the hippo and crocodile pools on the river and later return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Nairobi Weekend Tour to Masai Mara on Jamhuri Day Weekend

Early Breakfast and an enroute game drive while you are leaving the reserve for Nairobi. Drive towards through the rift valley floor with majestic silhouette of Mountains Suswa and Longonot in the distance. Arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon and disperse for Home.
