Cheapest Way to Rent a Minivan
I need to know the cheapest way to rent a minivan or SUV to hold 6 people and luggage to go on a 500 mile trip for a college visit.

The first thing I would do is go to a booking site like Travelocity, Kayak, Orbitz, Expedia, etc and do a search for the city, dates and times and vehicle type that you're looking for. That way you can compare various car rental companies side by side. Where you're looking at a minivan or large suv, make sure to check the rate quotes for any mileage restriction.
When you find the cheapest company, you can also try going to their website directly and plugging in the same city, dates, times, etc to see if you can get a cheaper rate.
You can also try checking rates with a car rental discount code, if you qualify, or a car rental coupon, if you have one or can find one.
The two biggest tips I can give you is to compare mulitple companies and book as far in advance as you can.
