National Pie Championships in Orlando

The 17th Annual APC/Crisco National Pie Championships will take place in Central Florida, April 8-10, 2011. Amateur, professional, junior and commercial pie bakers will unite to participate in numerous categories to have their pie deemed the nation's best. In addition to more traditional pie flavor categories, Crisco is celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2011 with a new "Innovation Pie" category. Or, just for 2011, enter your best "Royal Pie," suitable for the newly engaged royal couple. Don't bake? Be a judge! To enter, APC members pay $15 per pie entry for amateurs and $20 per pie entry for professionals. Non-members pay $35 per pie entry for either division. Junior entries are free. To become an APC amateur lifetime member for a one-time $40 fee, visit www.piecouncil.org.
