Great American Pie Festival April 9 – 10
Celebrating its tenth year in the town of Celebration, Florida, the Great American Pie Festival will be held at Lakeside Park in Celebration on Saturday, April 9 from 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 10 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sponsored by Crisco, the Great American Pie Festival features a pie contest, games, vendors, kids’ activities and the Never-Ending Pie Buffet.
For the price of a wristband, visitors to the Never-Ending-Pie-Buffet, can choose from slices of pie and other confectioners from Bakers Square Restaurants and Pies, Bonert's Slice of Pie, California Raisin Marketing Board, J. Horner's Desserts, Kroger's Private Selection, Publix Super Markets, Inc., Rocky Mountain Pies, Smucker's Toppings, The Folger Coffee Company, Village Inn and Wick's Pies.
Other festival activities include live entertainment, baking demonstrations, a pie eating contest, and the Crisco Kids Creation Station, where children can prepare their own fruit filled pies. The winners of the National Pie Championship, which is being held at the Caribe Royale resort this weekend, will also be announced at the festival.
