Car Rental Cleaning Charge
A Rental Car Company charged my credit card for cleaning the vehicle I returned? Is that right? Aren't they supposed to clean each vehicle when it's returned; why would they charge me?
If you look at your rental contract, there is probably some some of statement with regards to vehicle cleaning. The car rental companies clean all cars when returned; They will only charge you a cleaning fee if the car was more dirty than would be expected from normal use. For example; if there was an abundance of stains or pet hair, or if a non-smoking vehicle was smoked in. I would check the terms on your rental contract to see if the car rental company lists any stipulation for a cleaning fee.
