How do I find the Cheapest Rental Car for this Situation?
What is the least expensive rental car for 2 adults arriving @ OKC. 1 employed by Federal B.O.P. and 1 Merchant owner, incorporated.
We are going to Convention center for Federal Bureau of Prisons seminar.
The answer really depends on what type of discount you have/use.
In order to truly find the least expensive rental car for your particular rental you would want to check:
1)What is the rate with each car rental provider that gives federal government employees a discounted or contracted rate. Some car rental websites can provide you with a discount number if you specify that you're a federal government employee, some require that you provide them with the correct discount/contract/id code. You can usally get this through your HR department or your department's travel coordinator.
2)It wouldn't hurt to check rates without your government discount as well, many car rental companies charge a daily Government Administrative Rate fee for rentals using a federal government discount code.
3)Check to see if the organizers of the seminar itself have contracted any special car rental discounts for the seminar itself. If they have, you should have been provided with the partner car rental companies, and specific codes/id numbers/discount numbers to use for each.
4)Because of the dates and times of pick up and return, you will have a 5 day rental. This can qualify you for weekly deals and specials that may be offered for that location. You should check those seperately from any discount codes, but also check to see if they can be combined with a discount code that you may already have.
Keep in mind that unless you go with a contracted federal government employee rate, or a contracted rate specific to the seminar, rates change often... based on availibility. Book as far in advance as you can.
