The National park is located at the foothills of western Himalayas. Consisting of 488 species of flora, 50 mammals like the tiger, leopards, jungle cat, jackal, fishing cat, dholes, civet, porcupine, otter, barking deer, mongoose, goral etc., 585 different kind of birds including king vulture, eagles, kingfishers etc., 33 species of reptiles, 7 species of amphibians, and 37 species of dragonflies along with the crocodile, gharial, cobra; the Corbett wildlife package an awesome one. One also gets the chance to be up close with such dangerous species as one can explore the jungle in an open jeep 20 km deep inside.
