August In Stresa -- Fiori Di Fuoco

Fiori di Fuoco in Arona, August 7, part of the World Championship of Fireworks.

Fiori di Fuoco, Flowers of Fire, is the Italian term for fireworks. It is a good name, no? And August is the time to see several amazing displays. Each year this area hosts the World Championship of Fireworks, offering six evenings of incredible shows in six different stunning locations. In addition, there are other fireworks, such as the one this upcoming Saturday evening in nearby Verbania as part of the Palio Remiero event.

Here's a link to more of Giancarlo Parazzoli's fireworks photos from the Neveazzurra blog site.
