Todos Santos Vacation Rentals

AppId is over the quota

Baja Sur's Pueblo Magico is one of the best small vacation towns in North America. It is what Sante Fe, New Mexico must have once been like (or at least this is a label some would put on it).

The mix of locals with expatriotes and tourists seems to work in this oasis in the desert. The beauty of Todos Santos is amazing and can be appreciated during the day and night. The Sierra Laguna mountains provide a great backdrop to the Pacific ocean providing some of the best sunsets in the world. Surfers have known about Todos Santos for many year and continue to visit this wave rich region. Adventure is just a short drive down down a dirt road and all the deserted beaches make this place unique. But the town of Todos Santos, the culture, the food, and locals really make this place special.

Todos Santos has be designated a Pueblo Magico by the government of Mexico which means an injection of money for cultural enhancement and you'll notice this when you stroll down the streets of the town. You'll find local, Mexican, and ex-pat craftsmen and artists who's work depicts this part of the world as well mainland Mexico. The fruit trees, small organic farms, amazing surfing beaches, and the opportunity to speak Spanish without having to be an expert makes this a great destination for those who want to spend an extended period of time away in a new culture. It is easy to see why some people never leave. But life here is different and should not be understood before making this your new home. The cost of living in Todos Santos is one of the highest in Mexico despite the lack of availability of many of the amenities that residents north of the border are used to. Despite this you'll find amazing vacation rentals, castles, compounds which have been constructed by wealthy outsiders with dreams of creating their own piece of paradise.

What is it about Todos Santos that makes it different? Is it the slow pace of life, art, landscape, great surfing, people? It's probably "all of the above". It's not uncommon for international visitors to return to Todos Santos annually: leave vehicles behind, construct garages, homes, and even enroll their kids in local schools. This is the kind of place that makes you want to enjoy life on a daily basis, stroll downtown for ice cream, push your child in the swing, and cook meals from fresh fish caught offshore that day. In fact, cooking in Baja is usually an extended and jovial affair. The seafood offshore offers lots of options for the plate. Baja Fish Tacos are famous and easy to make staples here. You can do these on your own or stop at one of the many taco stands in town for a cheap and delicious meal.

You must see and feel Todos Santos "firsthand" in order to get a sense for what life is like here. You're bound to expand your mind and meet new people that will make your life's journey more enjoyable.
