Driving a Rental Car in Mexico

We're planning a trip to Mexico City and would like to rent a car while we're there. My question is: Do I need a special driver's license (international drivers permit)?

All you need is a valid drivers license from your country of residence along with your credit card. An international drivers permit is only required in certain countries, mostly overseas, or if your license is in a non-alphabetic language, like Arabic or Chinese.
