Cross Country Road Trip
I am planning a cross country road trip for late this summer. We will be driving from New Jersey to Calfornia and back. We'll be stopping often and we expect to have a rental car for 15 days. There will be 6 of us in the car, so we can split the cost of the rental.
Do you know of any rental car companies that will allow cross country road trips?

Most car rental companies will allow cross country road trips, as long as you are bringing their vehicle back. If you are given unlimited mileage and there are no geographic restrictions listed, then you're good to go. Because you have 6 adults, keep in mind that you will need a minivan or large SUV. You will need a vehicle with 6 seat belts and enough room to carry all your luggage!)
Do your bookings as far in advance as possible to get the best rate, and make sure that you get unlimited mileage (this is harder to find in the summer and especially on the larger size vehicle that you'll need) and that there are no geographic restrictions listed in your reservation terms and conditions and/or location policy information.
