SeaWorld's "Pay for a Day" offer back for Florida residents
Posted on Friday, May 15, 2009 by car rental deals orlando international airport
As SeaWorld prepares for the grand opening of the Manta roller coaster, Florida residents can enjoy the popular "Pay for a Day, Come Back All Year" season passes that are good through the end of the year. The passes are $74.95 for adults and $64.95 for children ages 3 - 9.
Previews for the Manta roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando began on May 5 (known in the theme park business as a "soft opening") but May 22 is the scheduled date for the official grand opening of the Orlando’s newest roller coaster.
And Manta isn’t an ordinary roller coaster. According to SeaWorld’s Web site, riders will walk past 10 different floor-to-ceiling aquariums filled with 3,000 marine animals, including hundreds of tropical fish, sea dragons, rays, and even a Pacific octopus.
The Manta roller coaster is the only “flying coaster” in the world. A total of 32 riders are secured to the belly of a mechanical manta ray, as it “flies” through the air. Riders will be face down as the Manta coaster mimics the fluid motions of a real manta ray as it swims under water.
The "Pay for a Day" passes for SeaWorld have no blackout dates, but parking is not included.
