We must give a special holiday shout-out to our Wisconsin Dells water park resorts for their elfish enthusiasm. The Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort is hosting Santa every Saturday and Sunday in December - lucky Santa! Santa's elves are also available to make deliveries and to do tuck-in services for good boys and girls visiting the Wilderness Resort throughout the Wisconsin Dells Christmas season. The resort's Wild Canyon Cafe is hosting holiday dinner buffets which include a totally tempting dessert table. On New Year's Eve, this Wisconsin Dells resort will be throwing their annual bash, complete with live band and party favors.
Great Wolf Lodge
At Great Wolf Lodge, they have added to Snowland with a life-sized Gingerbread House that seats up to 6 people for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Made with 1,320 pounds of sugar, 100 pounds of chocolate and 5,000 Christmas candies the delicious aromas are sure to inspire a sweet craving. Even sweeter, $20 from each reservation will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters. They've also rigged up snow machines in their lobby to create actual indoor snowfalls. It's awesome! We've Got Mittens On Our Mind
We imagine by now most of you have seen or heard about what we're jokingly referring to as "Mitten-gate," the lighthearted jabbing initiated by Michigan, aka "The Mitten State," after the Wisconsin Department of Tourism innocently used a Wisconsin map made to look like a mitten to promote its snow conditions report. With all the ensuing hoopla and media coverage, the Department decided to seize the opportunity and turn the attention into a fundraiser. Please join us, along with visitor & convention bureaus statewide, to collect mittens, gloves, hats and scarves now through January 15. Our goal is to collect at least 200 pairs of mittens, hats and scarves, equal to the approximate number of waterslides in the community. Click here for more information
