AppId is over the quota

Nepal has many national parks and wildlife reserves and most of these are important ones and have been placed in the different categories of the IUCN. The Langtang National Park is one of them and it has been placed in the category II of the IUCN.

The Langtang covers an area of 1710 sq. km. and is spread over various districts of Nepal. It has some mountain ranges which includes the Langtang Lirung and the Dorje Lakpa. There are many rivers and their tributaries that make their way past this national park and act as a natural source of drinking water for the animals in the park.

The lake Gosainkunda is also present in the Langtang Park and this lake is considered to be scared by the local people of Nepal. Kathmandu is city that is nearest to the Park. The weather of the area is quite favorable and it is quite sunny in the morning time while it is cool during the night time.

A huge diversity in the flora and fauna can be seen. There are tropical forests and as we move higher there is place that is covered with ice for most part of the year. The animals that you will be able to spot include the snow leopard, rhesus monkey, goral, Himalayan black bear, red panda etc. The birds that can be spotted here are ibisbill, bay woddpecker, fire tailed myzornis etc. The forests in the Park are home to many oak trees, blue pines, maple, chirpine etc.

There are any villages that are situated on the outskirts of the Langtang National Park and you can pay a visit to these villages also when you are there and get up close and personal with the local people.

Getting to the Langtang Park is not much of a problem as the place is quite close to Kathmandu. You can get yourself a ticket from the UK to Kathmandu and once you have landed at Kathmandu you can reach this place either by bus, train, taxi or even by air.

In case you take the bus to the Park then as soon as you check out of the airport there are many public buses that are stationed just outside the airport and they will take you to the National Park. It is a 7 to 8 hour journey and you are sure to be overwhelmed by the mountain ranges that are omnipresent in the horizon.

There is an entry fee for the park and the tourists also need to show their passport at the headquarters of the park.
