You will also be astounded by the pure indulgence of the palace and the strange lives of the sultans, who used to ride their horses through the majestic building.
Many people go to see the Blue Mosque when they come to the city on holiday. The mosque, like the palace, is a testament to the people who used designed the many intricate tiles and domes. As soon as you step into the mosque you are shown the devotion of the many people who have and do use the building as a place of worship, a lot of care has been taken to make sure that the building is still a place of wonder and reverence.
Another place that you should visit on a trip to the city is the Grand Bazaar where you can buy cashmere pashminas and jewellery. This busy market is a great place to get lost and whenever you turn a corner you will discover a new object or even an Aladdin's cave of shinny objects. There are also many dive centres around the peninsula, including many in the resort itself. These centres cater for people of varying abilities. There are several dive spots in the area which are worth going to see and explore.
