Car rental Las Vegas cash deposit?
is it possible to rent a car in vegas with CASH and not card.

I don't really want them to charge my card for 'hold' or 'security purposes' what if I don't receive the $300 deposit back?!!?! and how long for it to reach my bank account?

The car rental locations will put a hold on a credit card, freezing those funds until you return the vehicle. While some companies offer the option of applying for a cash id card, it usually takes about 6 weeks to process and involves credit checks and a larger deposit.

When you return the vehicle and want to pay in cash, You will see the hold back on your credit card within 48 hours. Most locations that take debit cards for the hold state that it can take up to two weeks for the hold to be credited back to your account.. it often depends on the bank.
