The most important celebration during the month of June is undoubtedly the Eve of St. John. Another festival to be held is the celebrations connected with the summer solstice on the Eve of St. Peter, on June 28th.

The Festival of "el Grec" begins from the end of June onwards. In this festival a series of theatrical performances along with dancing, concerts, and other cultural events are held. "Onze de Setembre" is held in end of summer and on this day national holiday is declared. The fact that there are so many traditional festivities held has led many people to say that Barcelona is a city of festivals in Europe when it comes to celebrations.
