Do all car rental companies also charge by the mile, not just the daily or weekly rate?


Most car rental companies offer unlimited mileage on the average rental. You usually see mileage restrictions on speciality vehicles (like SUV's and Minivans), on geographic restrictions ( you only get unlimited mileage if you Drive within certain states or provinces) or one-way rentals (if you're dropping off your vehicle in a different city, state or province). Make sure to check your rate carefully to check and see if it includes unlimited mileage and if there are any geographic restrictions on that rate.
