En Route to the best of Florida’s Attractions

Most of Florida’s top attractions are located right in beautiful Orlando. Whether you are planning on visiting Disneyworld, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld or one of many beautiful beaches, you will find it all near or in Orlando. Whatever your reason for travel, chances are pretty good that you will stop right in Orlando International Airport (MCO).

With a conveniently laid-out terminal, ample parking and free WiFi, your experience at the airport can be effortless and perhaps even enjoyable. For the handicapped traveler, the terminal has elevators, Automated People Movers and disabled parking. Individual airlines can provide wheelchairs for passengers and all bathrooms are equipped for them. The food court is centrally located in the terminal. Sit down for a meal at restaurants like Macaroni Grill or McDonald’s or grab a quick coffee from Starbucks or Seattle’s Best. There are so many food choices that all of your travel companions will be satisfied.

If you forgot to pick up some souvenirs before you left, there are many shopping options throughout Orlando International Airport. Choose from Disney, SeaWorld, Universal Studios and many more shops that offer tourist souvenirs for the people you forgot to shop for. You will also find perfume, watches, fashions and books in the terminal.

Whether you are leaving from MCO or arriving from another destination, there are several options for transportation. Many neighboring hotels offer convenient shuttle services that drop you off or pick you up right in front of the gates. If you choose to drive, you can park your car within the airport for as low as $10 per day. Valet parking is even available for $25.

If you are visiting Orlando on a holiday, it is a good idea to get a rental car. Orlando International Airport has all of the top rental car companies right on the ground transportation level. Choose from Advantage, Thrifty, National and many more. The cars are located conveniently in the airport so you can drive straight to your hotel. Ask for a navigation system if you aren’t familiar with the airport and keep cash on hand for the toll booths!

Transit buses also stop right in front of the airport. Also located on the ground transportation level, buses will take you to downtown Orlando, Disneyworld, Winter Park and Kissimmee – to name a few. The cost of the fare is only $2 – which is considerably cheaper than other forms of transportation. Taxis will be available on the same level but the trip to Disneyworld will cost you over $50 from the airport. A limousine service will start at $50 per hour.

The best part of travel through Orlando International Airport is the convenience of the website. You can book tickets, find flight information and print off a schedule online. Sign up from their website to get updates on your flight sent right to your phone or email. Convenience and accessibility are key to a stress-free holiday.
