India is a spiritual and secular country where every religion is equally worshipped. With myths, saints and temples pilgrim tours are common getaways in almost all cities these days. Popular pilgrimages are to Tirupati from Bangalore or Chennai, Shirdi from Mumbai and Pune and Ajmer from Delhi. Apart from these cities Kashi, Rameswaram, Tiruvananthapuram, Amarnath and many sacred places are there but these are not very accessible from metro cities.

Tirupati is around 250 km from Bangalore that passes through Hoskote, Palamaneru, and Chittor and finally reaches Tirupati. The whole route would be dusty and it passes on National Highway 4 and then from Chittor takes a bypass road via Chandragiri. Bangalore taxis are available online booking for rent or hiring a Bangalore Tirupati taxi easily and you can plan the whole trip well in advance.

Tirupati is famous for the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple on the Seven Hills. In northern India he is also called Lord Balaji. The seven hills is located in Tirumala and from Tirupati it is very accessible. The abode of Lord Venkateswara is on seventh Hill. Devotees either walk the seven hills or go my local transport. Cottages are available in Tirumala but you have to book in well advance else take lodging in Tirupati at the foothills.

Along with the temple of the hills, the surrounding forest area is a scenic beauty with flora, waterfalls and wild life too. Near to Tirupati you can visit Srikalahasti and Kanipakam for their abodes of Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha respectively.

If you are visiting Bangalore from a long place then do hire a Bangalore Airport Cab from the airport itself for your Tirupati trip instead of coming to city unless intended.

Similarly Shirdi is around 230 km from Mumbai and Mumbai cabs are always at hand for hiring online. Shirdi is famous for the Saint Sai Baba, who had preached in this region for the good and 'do no evil '.

Ajmer is famous Muslim Pilgrimage and pilgrims visit the Dargah of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisthi. Near to Ajmer around 11 km is Pushkar where world famous Pushkar fair - popularly called Camel fair is held every year. Puskar is popular for hindu pilgrims where ancient temple of Brahma is found. Ajmer is around 400 km from Delhi which passes through the pink city - Jaipur.
