There are, obviously the "big shows" including Fantasmic, Spectromagic! and IllumiNations, but are you aware of the Festival of the Lion King featured at the Animal Kingdom or the Voyage of the Little Mermaid located in Disney's Hollywood Studios? These hidden treasures at Walt Disney World are certain to delight guests of all ages.

Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba

Housed in Downtown Disney, inside a theatre specially constructed for the show, is the psychedelic fantasy world brought to life that's La Nouba. Translated literally from French, "faire la nouba" stands for "to live it up," and that is totally what this show is about. As you will expect from Cirque du Soleil, there are dazzling acrobats and death-defying stunts. Throw in unattainable-looking performances and psychedelic costumes and you're nearly there. Vivid costumes and live music contribute to the liveliness of this experience.

Things Get Wild at the Animal Kingdom

The Festival of the Lion King will surely leave a great impression. Though not the same as its Broadway cousin, it doesn't want for passion, vision, or effect. With upbeat songs, amazing costumes and music that is certainly infectious, this production doesn't leave you wanting. It may be summarized as a thirty-minute party with life-sized animals and Disney characters jamming with the spectators.

Disney's Hollywood Studios Has Got it Going On!

For daytime action, they have got you covered. Designed for a younger audience is the fifteen-minute Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Not only are there snippets from the film, but there are also live performers, effects and puppets.

One thing the entire family could enjoy is the Beauty and the Beast stage production. It's absolutely Broadway material! The costumes, effects and elaborate sets are only backgrounds to the musical and dance productions. It might only be twenty-five minutes long, but it feels much "larger."

As soon as the park is dark, there's Fantasmic! It is a long-time favorite of park-goers and still favorably attended. Mickey's is in a rough patch in this production, fighting each of the goes himself, however, this is Disney and you are certain he's going triumph! Throw in fireworks, songs, fire and water effects to the production and it is an absolute thrill for the senses.

Not to be eclipsed, Epcot and the Magic Kingdom offer sensational productions up their sleeves too. Spectromagic! is akin to the Main Street Electrical Parade at the Disneyland Resort, and includes Disney characters traveling on the floats. Epcot's IllimuNations is a demonstration of our planet's past, present and future, but designed Disney-style, which means you definitely won't forget it! It portrays the planet's first globe as a video screen - a 350,000-pound "Earth," which contributes to the allure of this production apart from the lasers, water and fireworks. This production is certainly not to be skipped.
