South Africa is a beautiful country with a number of traditions and cultures and some of these belong to ancient times. Also known as RSA or SA, South Africa is home to versatile beliefs, rituals and constitutes of several, different and unique languages. There are eleven languages that are recognized constitutionally.South Africa has a number of beautiful but heavily populated cities. These cities are the home to 50 million people. The population of the country is composed of 79.5% of black people and a large population of English, Indian and mixed breed of people. all depicting the points of a strong economy. RSA is the biggest economy of Africa. It is also the richest country of this continent. South Africa is the home to a number of ethnical groups that have their own parties and have got a representation in the countries governing bodies.The cities of South Africa have got a very diverse climate. This is mainly due to the fact that it is surrounded by Indian and Atlantic Oceans from three sides. Other,reasons include its presence in the southern hemisphere and has an elevation that rises to the farther North, in the direction of equator. The winter season in this country lies between July and August. Owing, to its varied topography and a long coastline of 2798 kilometers the SA cities have a great variety of climate zones.
These zones vary from extremely hot desert in the northern Namibia to the subtropical climate in the southern part of the country. In the east there is a long chain of mountains known as the Highveld. Although the South Africa as a whole is characterized as a semi-arid there is a considerable variation in the climate and the geography of the country.
The climate of southwest South African cities is much similar to the Mediterranean. The winters are wet and the summers are dry and harsh. This place also includes the area of Fynbos Biome, which is also the largest wine producing area of South Africa. This region is also particularly known for its strong winds that blow occasionally round the year.
These winds around the Cape of Good Hope have always been a problem for sailors, in particular for the captain and arealso responsible for several shipwrecks. The popular area of Garden Route lies on the farther east on south coast. This area has a beautiful green landscape due to the evenly distributed rainfall throughout the year.
South African cities although are heavily crowded but due to their long history of colonization, prehistoric people, beautiful ocean waters, big high starred hotels and due to a large variety of languages, people, religions and a tradition that consists of some of the oldest rituals that were followed by the earliest beings, they sure are a great place to spend your vacations.
