The third spot of the Chardham Yatra is Kedarnath, the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva and the pilgrim has the good fortune to venerate the jyotirlinga, also called the linga of light. The backdrop of the snow peaks in the region really makes the individual feel the living presence of lord Shiva along with the Nandi bull. The mountainous cover with snow and lush greenery is really a deadly combination. The third spot of the char dham yatra is highly relevant. After taking the spiritual blessings of Kedarnath, come to the final spot called Badrinath and this wonderful seat of Badrinarayan is the seat of lord Vishnu. It is said that Shankaracharya had got enlightened in this place and he had been able to visualize the previous births. It is he who renovated this old temple way back in the eighth century. The black stone image inside the temple represents Vishnu. One can see the celestial vehicle garuda at this place.
