The char dham yatra is famous for the Hindu pilgrims and even people of other faiths have a great respect for this kind of pilgrimage. The sanctity of such kind of yatra is really breathtaking and it is believed that the person is relieved of sins of the previous births and this birth also if he performs the yatra with a zeal, faith and passion. When the tourist comes to these places, he feels the clear spiritual effect of the gods and goddesses. The four regions are located in the Himalayan laps. One can undertake the yatra from the western to the eastern direction and this is the exact procedure. In fact, Char Dham comes in the sacred Hindu pilgrim circuit. The third spot of the Chardham Yatra is Kedarnath, the heavenly abode of Lord Shiva and the pilgrim has the good fortune to venerate the jyotirlinga, also called the linga of light. The backdrop of the snow peaks in the region really makes the individual feel the living presence of lord Shiva along with the Nandi bull. The mountainous cover with snow and lush greenery is really a deadly combination. The third spot of the char dham yatra is highly relevant. After taking the spiritual blessings of Kedarnath, come to the final spot called Badrinath and this wonderful seat of Badrinarayan is the seat of lord Vishnu. It is said that Shankaracharya had got enlightened in this place and he had been able to visualize the previous births. It is he who renovated this old temple way back in the eighth century. The black stone image inside the temple represents Vishnu. One can see the celestial vehicle garuda at this place.
