But none of that is any reason to be gloomy. And I don't want to hear any complaining. Not when there's so much to do. Mt. Mottarone continues to grow in popularity as a ski resort, especially in anticipation of the opening of the new chairlift. So come here for that, but then hang around and try some other things. Here's my short list, in no particular order, of ten winter things to do around Stresa and the region, things that capture the essence of this time of year here.
