How Can I Get a Cheaper Car Rental?

I'm looking to go to Florida this May with a couple of friends. I'm under 25, so I know there'll be an extra fee for that. Any tips on where I could find the cheapest rate? I'm just looking for a small, compact car.

Enterprise seems to have the lowest underage fee for that area -- an extra $14 per day (but they only offer unlimited mileage if travelling within Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Indiana). Check rates with several companies; there may be a higher underage fee with some, but if they offer unlimited mileage, they might turn out cheaper in the long run.

You can Click Here for information on underage fees for 7 other car rental companies, but keep in mind that the fee is sometimes location specific.

You can also check rates with a discount code, if you qualify. There are hundreds of membership programs and professional associations that offer car rental discount codes to their members. You can find a list of car rental discount codes for 8 major car rental companies, at Car Rental Discount Codes

As with any rental, make sure to do a lot of comparison shopping and make sure to book as far in advance as you can! You can always keep checking prices until your pick up day to see if anything better comes up!

Good luck and hope this helps!
